High Intensity Discharge (HID) is the latest technology in automotive lighting. It replaces the filament of the light bulb with xenon gas by utilizing the gas discharge principle, an arc of light is created between two electrodes in a small capsule filled with a mixture of xenon gas and halide salts. When high voltage is applied, the gas is ignited to produce an arc of light.

Xenon HID outputs three times the amount of light compared to a standard halogen bulb. The lamps also glow at a higher light temperature and gives it its distinct color and appearance.

FAQ:
Well what about my car? Will this work without a LCM update?
Most all coupes 2002/3 and newer have proper software to not require any type of issues and will accept LEDs without problem. Some earlier models may require a dealer flash in order to remove the light out warning, but the LEDs will still function properly! Some even earlier models will require a new LCM in order to accept this application of LEDs. Please select the options below for your application.

Why are these more expensive than x or y?
