The Active Autowerke RACE EXHAUST delivers performance and durability to be placed in the winner's circle.Lightweight and polished, this is a full 3.0" straight-through design that carries resonators for that tuned note. A first in the racing industry, the mid-section resonator also carries a replaceable straight through section giving you a choice between FULL Race or MILD Race for that specific db sound wave or optimum flow.Completely constructed from 304 stainless throughout, it is guaranteed not to rust through or brake away. This exhaust system is a continuation of the Active Autowerke Racing Header featuring interlocking V-Band clamps for a "Worry FREE Gasket Design" and easy install. The quick releasing V-Band clamping system help makes for very tight seals without the need for conventional gaskets that will eventually blow. The E36 M3 Race/Turbo was designed, tested and proven by the Active Autowerke Race Program.
With some modifications, this Race Exhaust can also be fitted on the E36 Turbo powered cars relatively easy for maximum horsepower gains. This system will support 600 HP easily on a turbo E36 BMW. The decrease in back pressure is immediately felt on the Turbo spooling and boost acceleration. The full stainless Generation 4, is Active Autowerke's most innovative cat-back exhaust to date. Designed specifically for the E46 M3 with styling and performance, the Gen 4 tuned straight through design with in line resonators offer an incomparable combination of power and sound. With applications to both normally aspiration and supercharging vehicles, the design staff at Active Autowerke created a new and revolutionary pipe routing design with optimum pipe diameters which enabled the Gen 4 to create horsepower without any restrictions.
Redefined and reworked, the Generation 4 only look similar to the Gen 3 on the outside with the same classics 80mm tips, but is totally reworked on the insides where it matters... It is lighter, stronger and more robust with a distinct sound unique only to the Generation 4.
Performance gains of 5-7 peak rear wheel horsepower can be expected with this exhaust installed. Comparable dyno tests were also taken of a E46 M3 without a rear exhaust and one with the Generation 4 installed. NO LOSS in power was measured with the Generation 4 installed. This exhaust produces a very rich, low frequency tone at idle to moderate RPMs while a distinct, robust sound is measured at higher RPMs validating the performance capabilities of this Generation 4.
Sounding more like a V-8 than an in-line 6, this exhaust provides a deep and nice mellow tone eliminating the common "tinny" rattling sound of the factory exhaust.
This exhaust utilizes all the stock mounting points, making installation quick and easy.
Featuring a high polish finish with 4-80mm large, straight tips embossed with the AA logo, this exhaust is considered by many enthusiasts as the most aggressive and sleekest looking muffler on the market. No modifications to the rear body valance is required.

B&B’s experience has lead to evolved products that fit and sound as well as they perform, while able to withstand the harsh automotive environment. Founded by Billy Boat, professional racecar driver and third generation master fabricator, B&B Performance Exhaust got its start as specialists in Porsche 911 performance exhaust systems, oil coolers and intercoolers. The name "Tri-Flo" originated from the unique 3-into-1 Porsche header developed by Billy, which remains the leading and most imitated header in the Porsche market. The Subaru WRX/STI Catback Exhaust system is now available. Full 3" 304 stainless steel, this system is designed how a turbo cars exhaust should be. The center muffler section uses a resonator to get that deep racing sound that is signature to B&B Exhaust systems. The rear muffler is made in house unlike other manufacturers, it is designed to provide the correct amount of flow, resonation, and pressure a turbo car should have. The rear double walled polished tips are 3inch each and are welded on. This entire catless setup for your 2002-2005 WRX/STI provides a great sound and power increase of about ?12 wheel ?horsepower. Unique Euro Design and B&B Exhausts have collaborated to bring the Subaru WRX and STI customers a new style of exhaust which continues to provide the most horsepower compared to its competition. The all T304 stainless steel tubing is completely polished fitting from the factory catalytic converter back. The flange bolts up to the aftermarket downpipes including B&B’s, as well as the factory cat with no modification. The muffler section and midpipe are joined by a slip fit joint for perfect fitment which flanging has no room for error. The all-new JDM style 6-inch diameter barrel muffler angles slightly out the bumper cut with a polished 4.5 inch straight cut tip. The muffler has 2 hangers welded on for perfect stance below the bumper. Like all B&B exhausts, the sound and performance is extremely important. Keeping the same deep comfortable tone the twin tip offers, while maintaining the strong horsepower. The turboback system with downpipe makes over 20 wheel horsepower where the catback system makes 12 wheel horsepower. B&B and Unique Euro Design have COMPLETELY redesigned the Turboback system so the downpipes and catbacks fit both the 2002 and on WRX and the 2004 and on STI vehicles.
